Yes. This generator uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) for cryptographically secure random number generation. All passwords are generated locally in your browser - no data is ever sent to our servers.

What makes a strong password?

A strong password should be at least 12-16 characters long, include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Using unique passwords for each account is essential for security.

Are memorable passwords as secure as random ones?

Memorable passphrases trade some entropy for recall. Our passphrase mode picks 3 to 6 random words from 650 curated words, plus a random number and optional symbol. At the default 3 words this provides roughly 38 bits of entropy, which resists online guessing attacks; 6 words reaches about 61 bits. The strength meter shows the real entropy of every password, rated for online account logins. For master passwords and offline vaults, use fully random mode.

How long should my password be?

For most accounts, 16 characters or longer is recommended. Use at least 12 characters minimum. Longer passwords exponentially increase the time required for brute-force attacks. Our generator supports 12 to 32 characters.
